First of all, I have to mention that I have traveled around 300 SPG hotels worldwide within 8 years of SPG platinum. However, this hotel was simply unique. Location, room, service and everything you do not think of was perfect. Starting with a fast check in, an upgrade to a St. Regis suite, a warm welcome from our butler and especially the relaxing a la carte breakfast at the boathouse. I never did experience such a perfect stay with warm and unobtrusive commitment to perfect service. To give you one example: we had a BBQ fish diner at the boathouse. Everything was great but the service was not able to fileting the whole fish from the grill. It was full of fish bones. Really NOT a big deal but it came to the attention of our waiter and without any discussion the cost for one dinner was credited to the bill. That's service beyond our expectations and this was only one example. Just one negative thing about the room: the air conditioning is really really loud. No chance to use it during the night. You have to choose between sweating or the AC noise. Thanks to Garry, our butler, Raj at the beach and everybody else for a fantastic stay. We will be back end of this year as every minute was worth the price! Bytheway: a Coke or smootie on the beach is around 3-4 EUR - really great value for money!
